1st ZILQAD One of the most auspicious DayS 1. Wiladat of Bibi Fatima Masuma Qum a.s. 2. Beginning of Arbaeene Kalimiyyah 3. The Day Treaty of Hudaibiya was signed 1st Zilqad is the Wiladat day of Janabe Masuma-e-Qum Bibi Fatima (a). Warm and heartfelt felicitations and salaams to our living Saviour imam Al Mahdi (atfs) on this blessed occasion. May Allah (swt) bless us all with the opportunity to visit her Holy Shrine again and again, ameen. There is a tradition that says that out of the 8 gates of heaven, one will open towards Qum and due to her intercession all Shi’as will Insha’Allah go to heaven! ========================================= 1st Zilqad is also the beginning of Arbaeene Kalimiyyah - the day on which Hadhrat Musa Kalimullah a.s started his 40 day Spiritual Exercises on Mount Sinai. Al Qur’an says: wa waa adna Musa thalaatheena lailatan wa atmamnaaha bi ashrin. The period of this 40 days ends on 10th of Zilhajj i.e. Eid- al Adha. During these days recitation of LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAAH is highly recommended and very much stressed. We often all have a list of things we would like to start doing, and a list of things which we would like to stop doing. Heres a chance - an opportunity to put at least one thought from each list into action. The Ulema say 1st Zilqad is a very good day to start 40 day Amal with the intention of Self Purification. For example we should identify one fault of ours which wed like to get rid off e.g hasad, anger, overeating, gheeba etc and also aim for a good quality that we would like to inculcate within ourselves, eg. khuloos, humility etc and with that intention start an amal (doesnt have to be too long if you dont have time) but it should be one which we can carry through for 40 days WITH concentration, weeping and beseeching Allah swt. In addition to the amaal , try and find out more about those qualities which you want to attain, by reading books like 40 hadith of imam Khomeini etc. If we are successful then on Eid day we can truly celebrate... ============================================================ The Month of Zilqad is a very auspicious month. Fasting for 3 Consecutive days on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays in the month of Zilqad has many benefits ============================================================ Hadith by 5th Imam a.s. from Safinatuul Bihaar Salaat/A’amaal for the First Day of Every Islamic Month: Recite Two Rak’ats Salaat ~ in the first of which, after the recitation of Sura Hamd, recite Sura Ikhlas thirty times and in the second, after the recitation of Sura Hamd recite Sura Qadr thirty times and after the prayers give alms (Sadqa). Whoever does so, will have purchased from ALLAH (s.w.t) his/her safety for the month. ===========================
