1st eBook lessons learned: -Its a LOT of work - especially when youre a perfectionist whos obsessed with making sure that people really feel like theyre getting a GREAT value. -Transcribe recipes as you go. Hunting down my (albeit) well-organized written notes is mind numbing. -Schedule at least one week of cushion time. -Dont put the turkey where Eli can reach it. -When everyone tells you that a recipe is perfect, believe them and move onto the next one. -A patient and encouraging graphic designer is worth every single penny. -More props! I need more props. -Dont waste precious daylight making baked goods. Do them the night before so theyre ready to go. -Speaking of daylight, plan next project for the summer when we have more photo hours. -Dont forget to market! Nobody will know about your hard work if you dont tell them about it. -Collaborate and ask for help as much as possible. PHEW. Back to transcribing ...
