The ceremonial presentation of the battle flag to the second separate brigade of the armed forces of LPR was held today in the city of Lugansk. Igor Plotnitsky, the head of Lugansk Republic, spoke about the importance of the battle flag as a sacred symbol of Russian military traditions. He said: Our ancestors have always held sacred the battle flags of the Russian army. And no wonder the symbol of Victory over fascism became Red battle flag hoisted over the Reichstag. The brigade was also greeted by the Minister of Defence of LPR Oleg Bugrov and veteran of the great Patriotic war Alexander Buyanov. He said: In 1942, being a 18-year-old guy, I went to defend my motherland. Im glad that your young generation also loves and appreciates your homeland and is ready to fight for it till the end. The battle flag was consecrated by George, the cleric of St. Kazan Church, archpriest. After the ceremony, the second separate brigade of LPR marching proceeded to their fighting positions.
