1yr ago I was sitting in a hospital room holding my uncles hand. I played a variety of his favorite songs from blues to ballads. This particular song means the most to me because he would play it all the time on his keyboard & sing it to me when I was sad. I played this song while holding his hand. I remember him squeezing my hand so tight. I whispered to him that I would always remember him and all the wonderful memories we have... I whispered goodbye and kissed his forehead. It was then his grip released and his eyes became clearer than I had ever seen them. He seemed peaceful. I left the hospital with my mom as advised by the Dr to allow him the privacy to pass away. We didnt know It would be 11 hrs later that we would be called to be told that my uncle had taken his last breath. Im broken tonight and many feelings are rushing back to me that I felt A yr ago. I miss you so much uncle David and the pain of losing you still hurts as it did 1 year ago!
