2 Corinthians 5:6-10. Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the Body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one of us may receive what is due for us the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. Beloved brethren most of us it would be fair to say desire to die this very minute. However, being present with the Lord and out of this body means we live and reign with him. So while we are in this body wouldnt it be profitable to do things that would reap you heavenly rewards and eternal life? But we know God is gracious to us and we feel this is our opportunity to be complacent until the angel of death is sent unexpectedly to your door. Afterwards you find yourself standing in front of the Judgment Seat of Christ! No amount of excuses or I didnt know will help as your life is played back in front of you. Showing the numerous times you rejected or tried pacifying the Lord as if he was a man. How foolish oh man do you think you are to deceive the Lord? Who looks into the depths of your heart and knows your every intention whether good or evil. The lake of fire wasnt prepared for us but the devil and his angels. If you think though that God didnt make it big enough for all of you who wont reside with him then youre more foolish than ever. Moses and the Prophets, Jesus and the Apostles, and numerous Men/Women of God throughout the years have warned and prepared you. That thing called self will determines paradise or torment. AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD (Josh 24:15)
