2 Interesting conversations yesterday :- 1. Buyer calls on a Listing. I give info and offer to show similar homes so they can make comparison to base decision.Buyer shares they will only work with a Listing agent & are calling the LA for each listing of interest on the MLS. They say they understand that the listing agent works for the seller & cannot negotiate for them. I say that Overpaying for a house is not in their interest & likely not to pass through the appraiser.But they say they are OK overpaying. Huh ? 2. Buyer looking for 4 months for a specific home but being shown everything on the market outside their price, type, preferences & features list by an experienced agent in the name of customer satisfaction. Buyer is so discouraged that they will never find the type of home they want, they are ready to give up & just Rent. Whatever happened to having a Buyer Consultation FIRST & showing the Buyer ONLY suitable homes? MORE to come as a BLOG Post on Princetonhomenj
