2 Is the Number!!! (Daily devotional and prayer/ Please read like and share) For the next week and a half we will dive into the numbers of the Bible and their significance . . . The # 2 in the world symbolizes opposition, one against another. In sporting competitions you have 2 teams with the goal to play against each other with the intent of victory. There are 2 sides good and evil, the spiritual and physical. But in the Bible #2 symbolizes support. During creation (Gen. 1:16) there were 2 great lights. Two witnesses establish the truth of Jesus the Christ (Matt. 26:60) and the disciples were sent out 2 by 2 (Lk. 10:1). God is looking to establish His Kingdom with you. Even though God does not need us because He is truly omnipotent, we need Him—which puts us in a relationship with Him. A 2 way line of communication must be established. We must pray and we must listen for His voice and not our own self-driven motivations. Prayer for the week: God I thank you for waking me up this morning that I may be able to do a good work in Jesus’ name. Allow me to subdue my flesh as I draw near You in all that I do. I thank You for the relationship that we have forged together through trials and tribulations of my life. Very essence of You I want in me; that is love. In Jesus’ name; Amen!
