2 Kings 11 21 Jehoash was seven years old when he became king. A baby king, but God intended to use this child for His glory, see how even a time of great sorrow can be used by the Lord for His great purpose. 11 When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal heirs. 2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being murdered; and they hid him and his nurse in the bedroom, from Athaliah, so that he was not killed. If not for the killing of the heirs this child would never have been hidden in the temple, if not raised in the temple would this child have received proper instruction in how to be pleasing to the Lord. I believe here we have an account of how even evil could be used for good when under the supervision of Gods omniscience. Simply put, we can trust God, He is strong enough to change even the times we live in, He has in multiple generations before ours, He can even take a bad situation and bring a glorious outcome from it, just have faith in the Lord no matter what your struggling with, a death in the family, loneliness, resentment, He is greater than your pain. -Brian
