2 Militants lost their ives in Frisal Encounter: Bilal Habib, Sachnews Jammu Kashmir Kulgam: May 25. Two militants lost their lives in an encounter with Govt.Forces in Kulgam today. Dy. Inspector General of Police South Kashmir Vijay Kumar told Bilal Habib that the Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation on receiving specific information about the presence of two local militants at Nowpora, Frisal in district Kulgam. He said that the bodies of both the militants were recovered from the debris. The DIG, who supervised the operation identified the slain militants as Zubair Ahmad Bhat resident of Nowpora, Frisal and Ashfaq Ahmad of Shopian. Another police source said that the slain militants were believed to have shot dead a Panchayat member at Wanpoh, Kulgam, earlier this month.
