2 Timothy 3:12-13 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. Our world is going from bad to worse. Those who are evil trick others and are tricked by others, all the time thinking they are smart. By standing for the truth and walking contrary to this evil, we are going to crash with the multitude of people who are going the other way. We will become an obstacle for them. They will try to pull us and if we let go of God, giving in, we will get caught up in the current, flowing along with it. To be persecuted is no excuse. The Master told us we would be persecuted. What we have to do is hold on to Jesus, keep our eyes on Him and pull as many as we can along with us as we walk towards heaven. Once more, no matter how strong the current, there is no excuse to give in because Jesus is stronger than any current this world could ever create. Peter took his eyes off Jesus and sank. The same will happen to us. Saved but not having fulfilled the mission.
