2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV) All Scripture is given by [inspiration] - TopicsExpress

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV) All Scripture is given by [inspiration] of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. The next paragraph might be a little technical, but I reckon its mighty important to know how Gods Word was authored. And theres three more Scripts which indicates that Gods Word is a Living Word - Alive!! The word inspiration in the text above derives from the Greek word; theopneustos. (It comes by way of Vulgate Latin and the King James English translations of the Greek word God breathed. (This Greek word is a combination word from Theos, which means God (a general name of deity or divinity the Godhead, trinity) + Pepneustai - literally, to breathe. All scripture is the product of Gods breath or God-breathed-ness. God himself speaks (or breathes) the scripture. John 6:63 (NKJV) It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV) So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Just as God is Eternal, so is the Living Word of God also Eternal!!
