2 arrested on Red Bird Lane following disturbance complaint: Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested two subjects off Red Bird Lane, 2 miles South of London early Thursday morning October 9, 2014 at approximately 2:20 AM. The arrest occurred after Deputy Ashurst was dispatched to a complaint of a disturbance there. When Deputy Ashurst arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that a female subject there had been screaming and yelling and waking everyone up in the area. Deputy Ashurst conducted an investigation on the subject determining that she was under the influence. As Deputy Ashurst attempted to make the arrest the female subject attempted to walk off and attempted to hide items on her possession. An investigation determined those items to be several syringes, snorting straws, and rolling papers, along with a knife. Arrested was Erin Whittington age 35 of Red Bird Ln., London charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; disorderly conduct – second degree; resisting arrest; and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, another subject was located hiding behind a shed in the backyard and an investigation was conducted on him determining that he was a wanted subject. Arrested was David Smith age 37 Of Redbird Ln., London charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court.
