Try it with some barbecued lamb when the sun eventually comes out. If local is more your style, we have the excellent Fern Ridge Sauvignon Blanc 2013. Duncan managed to get this wine (its usually export only) and were impressed with the lovely passionfruit and tropical fruit flavours and racy acid backbone. This would be great with seafood, but would make a pretty good aperitif with your Friday night nibbles. $12.90 a bottle, and weve got a few in the fridge if you just cant wait.
