2 of the stories Jesus told in the bible to explain the nature of God were 1 about the Prodigal son and another about the landowner in Matthew 20. These stories are really good news for those of us who feel like we have made a lot of mistakes and screwed things up beyond repair. Both of these parables describe one individual, or group who did things right from the beginning and another group or individual who finally got it right. The amazing thing is that both groups are rewarded the same in the end. In fact the group or individual in these stories who did it right and worked hard were upset because the other group got the same reward. I wanted to write some of you who have felt discouraged lately about how your life has gone. Maybe you made some big mistakes that have cost you huge. The good news is we have an amazingly generous God who enjoys come form behind stories. He loves to offer those who have really blown it a 2nd, 3rd and 100th chance. He is a God who chooses to use his power to reach down to those of us who are at the end of our strength and hope. Give God a chance to make you a Cinderella story. He loves to do that!
