2 years ago today I was hospitalized, for what we thought was the flu, 5 weeks later I woke up, to being told you had Hantavirus, surgery with an ECMO machine, Brain Bleed (stroke) you have 2 superbugs from the hospital, you have 2 major bedsores on your heels,and you have lost 17 pounds of muscle. You were one very sick lady, but you made it. My explanation was Get me out of this Bed!!!! I am still dealing with the after effects from the virus, and always will. I was diagnosed with Colon cancer ( 9 months later )last week I was told cancer is gone, no colonoscopy for 3 years! It has been a learning experience, especially the Medical side of this. I am still recovering from the after effects of the Hantavirus, but it is amazing how our body heals. I will celebrate a little more than other days, today!
