20 kilogram Nag Chattri botanically known as Trillidium Govinianum recovered Jammu, August 2nd : Kishtwar Police arrested two persons and a banned rare medicinal herb Naag Shatri was recovered from their possession by a joint naka team of Police and Army at Chinal Dandu falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chatroo of district Kashtwar today.Reports said that oOn receipt of reliable information regarding smuggling of Nag Chattri botanically known as Trillidium govinianum from Chatroo area. A joint naka of Police & Army 11 RR was established at Chinal Dandu . During checking of Tata Sumo bearing Regd.No. JK17/1620, two persons namely Farooq Ahmed Gujjar S/O Gh. Mohd and Hussain Ahmed S/O Ilam Din both resident of Pehalgwari, who were boarded in the vehicle were questioned and during search of vehicle 20 Kg. Nag Chattri was recovered from their possession and both the accused has been arrested in case FIR No. 63/2013 U/S 6/13 Forest Act P/S Chatroo. It is pertinent to mention that Nag Chattri is precious hub and being smuggled from Kishtwar area. Nag Chattri is prohibited hub under Forest act.The people of the area have appreciated the role of Police.
