Western philosophy, with its emphasis on discursive consciousness, still grapples with the paradoxes inherent in The Void. Kierkegaard described The Void as the possibility anterior to possibility. However, all attempts to define The Void in concrete terms must fail, for The Void is not a thing. The Way that can be named is not the true Way. No abstract concept can capture the essence of The Void, not even nothingness, for that is merely a mental symbol for an objectless thing. The map is not the territory. Direct experience of the true suchness of The Void as Ultimate Reality constitutes liberation from the illusory panorama of existence. Being and nothingness are not two. Meditate on the empty fullness, and you may achieve the single-pointedness of mind. Or not. The Void of Unreason cannot be created nor destroyed. Deletion of this Friendster account will merely result in a new manifestation under a different email alias. Thus, the futility of craving and striving is demonstrated.
