2007, festival was harsh. People forget, my family and my late husbands family sat behind the announcer stand from after grand entry on- we had fully beaded outfit, horse, star quilt, eagle feathers and thousands in prize money. Our friends traveled from afar. We had my late daughter and late husbands special. Those who were in charge, did contest, million intertribals, announced winners, and told people farewell.. Then in middle of special told Bear Sound System to take down the sounds. Tha Boyz were ready the Jam, Thunderhill and dad DK, and all the judges and mens fancy. But they continued to not follow the schedule, and as everyone stood there in shock, looking at them completely show their true selves, we just kept our grace and composure. Many powwow people came up and asked us why they were so rude.. Only Creator knows. As for me, I could have complained, ran around to tribe and ripped on em, or put them on blast, but in the end... They will ways be, who they are. No use wasting a minute on them kinds of people. Ugh finally after years, I have vented, and still, no names will be said :) Creator knows.
