2014 - well I cant decide what my most creative achievement has been this year. It has been my first full year of freedom to be creative in my own work since retiring from encouraging creativity in young people by teaching art. I have turned part of my home into a studio and, this summer, into a gallery for Dorset Art Weeks and created over 20 new works for that event, along with hand made cards. I joined 31days of Drawing August in the midst of post exhibition floundering and it kept me drawing and thinking. I have really enjoyed seeing the amazing variety of art that appears and getting to know some of the contributors. I think its great that there are members as far flung as Australia, Denmark and Cyprus. Wouldnt it be great to have a meet up one day? Now I am working for exhibition is 2015 and the last picture here is in progress. I did manage to do a few drawings for 31 Days of Drawing in December while I was away last week and will post them soon. Meanwhile ..... excuse my ramblings .... I love this group of artists, youre all so supportive and creative.
