2014-09-08 Stockholm Sweden Bob is bummed out thinking that this is our last port. I must admit that the days have gone by rather quickly, much more that anticipated. Bob spent most of last night planning next year’s cruise. As we opened our balcony door this morning we were greeted with fog as thick as pea soup! We couldn’t even see the water below us! The noises of the life boats being lowered was a bit unsettling, although I knew this would be happening. Our ship is so big that it cannot dock in Stockholm and we have to be tendered over. Knowing me you would expect that we would be doing a tour about the Nobel Prize presentations and laurites…. Well you’re wrong! We went to an ice bar!!! Yes indeed Jose Zelaya !!!! We had a fabulous time! We were told that we would be having a drink consisting cranberry juice with vodka…. WRONG!!!! We had a drink of vodka with a splash of cranberry juice for color… I was told after all we are in the Baltic (we were served Vodka with each meal). We went for a drive around the city and saw it from every vantage point. We finished on the Palace grounds which is part of the “Old City”. They are very proud that their crowned princess and future monarch married her body trainer and not another royal. This is our last stop, tomorrow we have a sea day in which we will be packing and hope to relax and take advantage of some of the amenities on board the Royal Princess…. Until next year
