2014 CLARION SUPER DRAFT / WENDY CHARRIE MEMORIAL CLASSIC Second Annual Charity Coed Slow Pitch Softball TournamentClarion County Park Shippenville Pa Saturday September 20andSunday September 21 This event is a draft style coed slow pitch softball tournament and skills competition which include a home run derby , throwing accurary contest and pitching accuracy contest. It is open to all men and women from super major to rec league players. You do not have to be in a league to participate. Players register as individuals and are classified based on fielding position of choice and skill level. Players are then entered into a draft and are drafted on to a team. There will be 7 men and 3 women per team as long as registration permits. Men will be required to use aluminum bats unless as a group we decide to adjust this rule for this year. Last year we did not require aluminum bats to be used because the majority voted to use any bat because the group of players was small due to first year of the tournament. Tournament directors reserve the right to make the decision on types of bats being used. Women may swing any bat of their choosing. Round robin play on Saturday to determine seeding for Sunday. Sunday will be a double elimination tournament. Guaranteed 3 or 4 games on Saturday depending upon number of teams and guaranteed atleast 2 games on Sunday. This event is a great way to meet new people and play on a team with players you may never get to be teammates with. Invite fellow teammates and opposing teams to come and enjoy this experience of great people coming together to play a great game and raise money for charity. Registration Fee is $20.00
