2014 CONTESTANTS, PLEASE NOTE: If you missed yesterdays email message, below is one of the most important bits of information it contained that you need to be aware of... For the past several years, as you may know, we have offered the writers who advance to the Final Round of competition the opportunity to submit the most recent draft of their script for the Final Round of judging completely free of charge! We do this because we know that many of you are continually developing and improving your scripts, and we know that you always want to put your best foot forward for the Judges. And of course we want to give our top Judges the opportunity to read the latest and greatest draft of your work in the hopes that theyll find writers theyre interested in representing and projects theyre interested in producing. Well, this year were going to try something new... Because so many well-known agents, top literary managers and terrific producers are signing up to read the Semi-Final Round of the contest this year - and because we know that one good rewrite can often make all the difference - this year were not going to wait until the Final Round to accept rewrites. Instead, were going to invite all of our Semi-Finalists to submit the latest draft of their scripts for the Semi-Final Round of competition. Our hope is that this will help even more of you land representatives and find producers for your screenplays. So, for those of you whose scripts are on todays list of Quarter-Finalists, get ready! You have just one month to review your script and make any revisions you want to make prior to the Semi-Finalist announcement on August 15th.
