2014 Catch for a Cure We are so excited for our 2nd Annual Disc dog event. This year will be a 2 day event with the Discdogathon on Saturday and Extreme Distance on Sunday. We will be at the very accommodating Jefferson Recreation Center again. Here are the event details: Jefferson Rec Park22 Plantation Drive Jefferson GA 30549 https://goo.gl/maps/hl3R2 HOTEL INFO: We have secured a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn at Braselton (10 doubles and 10 kings). Rooms are $89 a night. They do have a ONE TIME $20 dog fee, but no limit on size or number. They are located about 15 minutes from the event, right next to the beautiful Chateau Elan Winery. If you book there, be sure to use the code K9K to get our prices. 2069 Highway 211 Northwest Braselton, Georgia 30517 Use this link for online reservations: Holiday Inn Braselton Set up can be done Friday evening after 6pm or early on the event day. All set up MUST BE COMPLETED by 9am. Skyhoundz DiscDogathon & Extreme Distance Qualifier An invitation to the Skyhoundz DiscDogathon & Extreme Distance World Championships will be extended to the 1st place competitor in each of the events. For complete rules on each event and more information on Skyhoundz World Championships, please visit the Skyhoundz website. Fees: Saturday- Discdogathon: $25 first dog, $20 second, $15 third, $10 all other dogs for discdogathon events. You may enter all events or one. Sunday-Extreme distance: $10 for the first event and $5 for each additional event (per handler). COMPETITORS: Preregistration must be submitted before July 10th. You can download the registration form and send it to dawerts@yahoo. Payment is due at registration. Onsite registration will cost an additional $5 per dog. Rules: Event Rules: 1. Walk your dog away from the playing field and always clean up after your dog. There will be a marked area for dog eliminations. 2. Do not let your dog off leash unless it is competing. 3. Do not interrupt Judges while they are judging. 4. Poor sportsmanship of any sort can get you disqualified from the event without a refund. Unlawful acts will be reported and prosecuted. 5. Mind your dog at all times. Do not let un-proofed dogs meet. 6. Be mindful of the run order and have your dog walked and ready when you are called “On Deck”. A smooth running event is better for everyone. 7. Have fun!
