2014 Christmas Cakes in Tokyo series! This quartet of fairy princess themed cakes is from the Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku. The Snow White cake contains layers of fromage mousse and sautéed apples accented with Calvados syrup, topped by green apple mousse thats shaped to look like a real apple (16cm, 3500 yen). The Cinderellas Ball cake contains black tea flavored bavarois cream, mascarpone mousse and cassis cream, covered with whipped cream made to look like a ballgown (16cm diameter, 4500 yen). The Thumbelina cake is a mille-feuille layered crepe cake; it has custard and whipped cream with crushed freeze-dried strawberries, Royaltine (cookie) and chocolate between the crepe layers (16cm, 4500 yen). Finally, the Kai and Gerta Snow Queen cake (not a Disney Frozen cake, but taking inspiration from the original Andersen story) is an ice cream cake with chocolate, vanilla an strawberry ice creams inside, covered with shards of white chocolate to look like snow and ice (13cm, 2000 yen). keioplaza.co.jp/event/xmascake/index.html
