2014 Fly In Competition Winners Spot Landing competition was won by our very own G-UFCG piloted by Rachel McBurney. It was the only aircraft to land accurately on the line of flour on Runway 04 Very Well done! Strangford Sights competition was won by G-CBTG piloted by Ian Thompson and Rob Morrow. It was the only aircraft to successfully identify all 10 landmarks. Some of our own pilots struggled with this. The Aircraft that flew the furthest directly to Newtownards was G-YAKG from Andrews Field (274nm), followed by EI-BPL & D-EDED from Shannon (162nm) and G-RICO from Teeside (149nm) The Best Presented aircraft was G-BNVT from Prestwick piloted by Mr. Murphy. G-YAKG was close behind by 1 vote! Thank you to all the aircraft that attended this weekend and we look forward to seeing you again for the next fly in!
