2014 PATRIOT DAY Flags Display Video (9/11/2014) : Here at our house on Donovan Drive, we are quietly observing Patriot Day today (September 11th, 2014) by flying a selection of Flags, most of which are at Half-Staff. Across the front windows we are displaying, left-to-right, the Pennsylvania State Flag, The Flag of Washington D.C., a 9/11/2001 Memorial Flag, the New York State Flag, and the Flag of New York City. Immediately in front of the house we are flying (half-staff), from left-to-right, the Flags of the U.S. Army, the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Coast Guard. The next row of Flags out from the house are, left-to-right, the 15-Star & 15-Stripe U.S. Flag (The Star-Spangled Banner), the 33-Star U.S. Flag (Fort Sumter - Civil War), the 48-Star U.S. Flag, 50-Star U.S. Flag (current), and the National Guard Flag. In front of those Flags were flying, left-to-right, 13-Star (Betsy Ross) U.S. Flag, a 13-Star Bennington Flag (76), a bright yellow Gadsden Flag (Dont Tread On Me), and similar to the Gadsden, a black-on-white Culpeper Minuteman Flag. In the front row (closest to the street) we are flying (L-T-R) an extra large (4x6) 50-Star U.S. Flag (current) from a tall, 12 foot, flagpole, our daily 15-Star & 15-Stripe U.S. Star-Spangled Banner, and our daily State Of Oregon Flag. On the four spinning flagpoles attached to the front of the building, we are flying two pairs of U.S. and Oregon Flags with long, black mourning ribbons attached at the tops of the poles. Hanging down in front of the garage door we have two Flags: the Flag Of Honor, which is made by using the names of all those victims who perished as a result of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001; and the Flag Of Heroes which is made by using the names of all of the emergency personnel who perished as a result of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. Patriotically Yours, Robin Hickman Your Friendly Neighborhood Flag Man Eugene, Oregon, USA.
