2014 Signature Conference: The American Civil War in a Global Context Leading off the first panel will be Niels Eichhorn, who will contextualize the Civil War in the history of mid-nineteenth century conflict with his presentation, Nationalism and Separatism: A Global Perspective of the American Civil War.
