2014 has been a brilliant year for me, with all the achievements, experiences gained, lessons learned and all that boring shit everyone has been posting this entire week. But despite it all, what made 2014 special for me is the people I have met. Strangers, new acquaintances, friends and buddies. I began 2014 with a few good friends and some shitty friends (I dont even know how they became my friends in the first place, to be honest). As people walked into my life, I braved myself to let go a few. While some made an effort to get closer to me, some friends tend to shy away for a reason I couldnt reciprocate. Whats been amazing is the people I have retained in my life - those who have bonded with me and flourished my life with sincerity. I dedicate my first status of 2015 to them. Thank you for loving me and guiding me, thank you for the support and the wisdom. Elsa Ong Jacques, you are the only friend who can read my face like a Wikipedia. You know the Fa no one else knows in this world. You know my worst sides, my ugliness, my bitterness and the amazing thing is, you still think I am wonderful. If I can have one wish for all humankind, I would wish for everyone to have at least one friend like you because life is a glory with pure individuals like you. I love you like I love no one else, and you know it is true. Nara Duangdean, I smile whenever I think of you. If Forrest Gump thinks life is like a box of chocolates, I think you are a box of delight. What a purity, sincerity, wisdom, childishness, warmth, everything wrapped up so nicely into a tiny little box, sealed with love. You have said in many many occasions of how you look up to me, but babe, whenever I stumble, all I have to do is look at you. You might not be the strongest person but you surely are one of the most genuine person I have met in my life and I love you dearly for that. Michele Tan, you are the only person who would check on me besides my mom. Its funny but receiving your Are you okay dear? messages feels like a warm hug in a cold night. You might not know this, but I learned a lot about being strong to face the uncertainties of life from you. The best moment I had with you in 2014 would be during one of our jogging sessions together when you stopped and told the driver who drove too close to us If you dont know how to drive, dont drive. Better park the car and walk like us. LOL, so much guts for a petite cina girl from BM! You are the one person who would stand up for yourself and the people around you and I totally respect you for that! May 2015 be filled with more Hellos and less Goodbyes. Cheers to friendship!
