2014 has been a great year for JCPD and more importantly for the citizens of Johnson City. JCPD responded to over 1600 calls for service, wrote approximately 800 citations and gave out over 1000 written warnings. JCPD responded to 34 traffic accidents. JCPD made 126 arrests in 2014. The best part for the citizens of Johnson City is that JCPD only responded to one burglary of a building and the suspect was arrested by JCPD in New Jersey and brought back to the Blanco County Jail. The suspect plead guilty and was convicted of burglary. No other property crimes were reported in 2014 to JCPD. I want to thank the citizens of Johnson City for their diligence in reporting suspicious activity to JCPD. I want to thank all of the JCPD Officers for their hard work & dedication to our wonderful community. Last but not least, i want to thank our Mayor Dawn Capra & City Council for their leadership, ideas and support in making a difference in our community. Chief Randy Holland
