2014 has been an exciting and productive year for Home for Cooperation.. A year full of memories, accomplishments and most importantly a year full of new and stronger friendships… What a timeline for 2014! This was the year we have launched the Small Projects Funded by EEA Grants/ Norway Grants. The Small Projects initiative was to support the implementation of new projects and our thanks extend to all applicants and participants for their creative and inspiring community ideas. Earlier on in 2014, cooperation was renewed with an outspoken message of solidarity, diversity and understanding, achieving a successful multicultural Music festival in May, the Open Air Music Festival. In the context of our organizations vision, looking back in the into the past without losing track of the future, the Home for Cooperation competed with 27 laureates, selected from 160 nominated projects across 30 countries, and was honored with the Europa Nostra Award for conservation 2014. Buffer Fringe being something we are very proud of, artists turned the dead zone into a zone of artistic expression and true celebration of arts. More than 500 people experienced a series of experimental and other artistic expressions from a total of 12 groups and over 60 up and coming and renowned artists from all communities of the island. An overwhelming energy of accomplishment, excitement and positivity emerged, as if the Buffer Fringe is here to stay for years to come. Lastly but not least, Home for Cooperation launched donation based Workshops in November, aligned with the organizations structure and mission: Learning new things is a right of life not a luxury. And we are looking forward to an even better 2015! Happy New Year to you all!
