2014 has not been the year we had hoped it would be. This relapse so far has been hard and we have a long time to go. But there have been some AMAZING people that Id like to talk about. I want you to know how thankful we are to you. First off, Peaches neet feet for the coolest shoes ever for Robert. He wears them daily and with pride. Sunshine on a Ranney Day and Holly Ranney and The Spirit of Life organization, you came into our lives, tore up my house :) and created a space for Robert that makes him so happy that I have to force him to come out just to eat! Thank you for choosing Robert and for making us part of the SOARD family. we look forward to giving back and helping in future rooms. To Ms. Hayley, I dont know what we would do without you. You love my kids and answer the phone even at 3am when I need to drop them off so I can get Robert to the ER. You take such good care of them and treat them as your own. I seriously think they like you waaaaay more than me, but Im ok with that. I honestly dont know how I can repay you. Bens teacher, Mrs. Coffee, you keep him with you when we cant make it home for the bus. You give that crazy boy some stability in a mostly unstable world. Thank you! Roberts teacher, Mrs. Gowder, you take time out out of your busy schedule to come to our home and teach Robert so that he doesnt have to attend at school and be around those nasty germs. Not to mention the constant support. All the teachers at SSSE, thank you for the meals and my monday meal moms. Its so nice not having to worry about whats for dinner. My sweet friends who have filled my freezer to the brim with frozen meals......... I cant even begin the explain to you how much easier youve made my life (and Bobs when hes home alone). CURE Childhood cancer, everything you have done for us and continue to do, thank you. My cousins Erin and Susan, you put together a fundraiser for us. What you managed to do and make happen goes above and beyond. Its hard being on the receiving end of so many amazing things but it is such a blessing to see the community both here and in Ohio reach out to us. So many people love Robert and want to make our lives easier. Im and truly in awe of all the love and support. Thank you ladies and all your many helpers, The Deans, Wises, Taylors, and Myers families. Love you all. To the kind neighbor who knocked on the door last week and cut our grass, thank you. Such a kind gesture. To every single person who helped Robert with his treasure box venture. It was a HUGE success. So far I have taken 4 car loads and still have more to go. We have been told that the kids have been so thrilled to go to the treasure box and love what is there. We couldnt have done that without you. Our families, you might be a pain (Erik) but we love you and know you are all just a phone call away. To our AFLAC nurses, we love you all. You are apart of our family and always have our back. To my small group of friends......you know who you are. Thank you for being you. Thank you for listening to me and always lifting my spirits. Thank you for seeing through my sarcasm wall and helping when you know I need it. Thank you for always forgiving me when Im the crappy friend who forgets to do all the good friend things because my life has consumed me. To everyone else and those I didnt mention, thank you. Thank you for following us and for the constant prayers. (I know Ill remember who Im forgetting as soon as I post this). I know this relapse journey is just beginning but so many good things have happened to us/Robert that I had to take a second out to let you all know how grateful and blessed we have been. Cancer changes you and we thank you all for being here for us and always lifting us up. You have touched our lives in many ways and once Robert is cured we will dedicate our lives to paying it forward.
