2014 is the Crossroads of the American Empire: Prepare for the War - TopicsExpress

2014 is the Crossroads of the American Empire: Prepare for the War for Democracy’s Next Election Day, and be wary of the 1 % Y2k14.3.20 The last thing that I want to do is waste anyone’s precious time. For the past 2 or more years or so, I have been inundating my Facebook page with, as Hamlet would say, “words, words, words”. I’ve sent essays far and wide and plan to expand and add both my senators to my list of recipients. I am Gary Perl, nothing and nobody, one of the faceless 99%. I publish my works wherever I can. I am not a pundit, and I don’t get paid for anything that I write or for the time that I spend on each essay. I live in a world were only select elites get free speech, those who are able to vomit out their opinions and sh-t out their declarations with impunity. I, on the other hand, have to get my free speech where I can, and my stupid Facebook account and my blog help me with this. I understand why the common people get frustrated and sometimes even go berserk because they are constantly being manipulated and conned by those 1% in power. Remember this: we get all our information from well-to-do people. We are represented in our government by well-to-do people. We swallow our entertainment like thirsty desert dwelling peasants from well-to-do people. In the end, some of us, whether successful and well-to-do or not, must speak out even to the one or two people who may be listening. All of us out here in 99% land are alone and are being conned, pushed, bullied, and pulled in every direction by the ruling 1%. If only one person reads what I write and wakes up, I will be happy. We get everything from the 1%. They give us our entertainment, our news, our books, and our government. When I watch Schultz, Maddow, and O’Donnell on MSNBC, I respect the truth of everything that they say, but they are still 1 per centers, living life in a way that I could never dream of. It is quite frightening the control that the rich have on all of us. Yeah, Ed, as much as I hate flying in a plane, I would love to own and fly one like you do and land on my own private runway. I understand this because we live in a civilization that equates success with money and money with power. I taught for 28 years in the NYC school system, one of the worst in the nation. I retired successfully, but nothing I could say or write will mean anything because I am a mere middle “classer” with no fame. Do I sound angry and jealous? Goddessdamn right I do! I am sorry, but there are thousands of voices out there we have not heard from besides little old me because they had the bad luck not to be rich and not to be a celebrity. F—k Alec Baldwin and all of them! Check this out. The five most important jobs in our society: teachers, police officers, firefighters, sanitation workers, and transportation workers get sh-t wages with no respect. On the other hand, if your name is Alec Baldwin, Mick Jagger, Rachel Maddow, Alex Rodriquez (pre-steroids days), or any other rich celebrity, your name is like those burned into the tablets of the law. If I was robbed, if my house was burning, if I needed to learn to read, if I have to get from one place to another, if I need the trash taken away before it swallows my life, who do I call? Bill Maher? Rachel Maddow? Ed Schultz? Barack Obama? Harry Reid? Mitch McConnell? Do I call the great celebrities I’ve always loved like Kirk Douglas or his son Michael? If I am beyond stress and heading into madness, am I going to take Dustin Hoffman and Martin Scorsese aside to tell them my tale of woes? I believe that all of us are afraid of the day that we are going to die, and we raise celebrities to heights that many of them don’t deserve because they happen to help us to forget this horrible reality. Yet it is the workers at education, law enforcement, firefighting, transportation, and sanitation that keep our society moving and alive. We show our appreciation to these heroes of our society by paying them less than the baseball player who hits grand slams. The latter gives us instant gratification and the fantasy that we too can be invulnerable immortal ball hitters. The former give us reality and thus get little credit or appreciation for keeping us running and alive. The world’s wealth is in the hands of too few people. Among these are the notorious Koch brothers. The United States Supreme Court through their approval of “Citizens United” which proclaims that corporations are people too have placed into the hands of the world’s richest evil people the ability to take down this country as we know it. WAKE UP YOU DUMB APATHETIC BASTARDS, CHAINED BY YOUR RELIGION OF CELEBRITY AND WEALTH AND GODHOOD. OUR COUNTRY IS BEING BOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY EVIL RIGHT WING TRAITORS WITH NOTHING LESS THEN THEIR DESIRE TO SUBJUGATE US ALL!!! I know this, and who am I to say? And where do I get the nerve? I observe, I remember, I read, I’ve lived, and yes, I watch Maddow, Schultz, and O’Donnell who, in spite of their cursed 1 % status tell the truth now and for all time. In the weeks ahead of the midyear elections, the most crucial in our country’s history, the airwaves and the print media are going to be besieged with right wing lies because they can afford it and because they think that we out here in 99% land are as dumb as the mobs that were portrayed in “Julius Caesar”. We voted against the right wing agenda in this last national election and in NYC’s last mayoral election. Considering all the lies clogging up the air waves, you’d think that liberals and the president were the worst on the planet. Only those in the stupid mob would think so.
