**2015 ELECTION** Buhari Uncomfortable As Tinubu Concludes Plans to Welcome G7 Governors to APC. **Buhari refused to attend the meeting between APC and rebel PDP governor. **His camp are angry, as no one told Buhari about the meeting. He was invited just sent hours to the Sokoto University commissioning. A crack appears to be forming between former military strongman, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) and National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu, over plans by the latter to welcome the rebel G7 governors into the fold of the APC, a move Buhari is not comfortable with. Some pundits believe that Buhari is uncomfortable with the move because it may whittle down his influence as the most prominent northerner in the party and thus its obvious choice to fly the presidential flag at the 2015 election. The gulf was noticeable at the commissioning of the Sokoto State University for which the G7 rebel Peoples Democratic Governors, where governors Sule Lamido of Jigawa; Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano; Murtala Nyako of Adamawa and Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State, were in attendance with their host and fellow G7 rebel, Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto State. Bola Tinubu, had also arrived the occasion together with Muhammadu Buhari, and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar. Also in attendance was the National Chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande. The suspicions if a crack in the APC came about because Major Gen. Mohammadu Buharis decision to attend the university inauguration was impromptu as he only conveyed his acceptance of the invitation on the very morning of the event. Immediately after the event, the APC chieftains went into a close door meeting with the rebel PDP members. However, Buhari did not attend the crucial meeting as he left the state immediately after the commissioning of the university raising suspicions of a crack. But members of the Buhari camp may not be happy with the ongoing romance between their new party and the rebel PDP governors. Indeed, a source in the Buhari camp revealed that there was more to the gathering saying “afterwards, they all went to the Government House, where they deliberated on the modalities through which the New PDP governors will shift loyalty and base to the APC. I can tell you that all the New PDP bigwigs that you reported were at the university event later met with the APC leaders, excluding Buhari, to prepare for the reception of the governors in about a fortnight”. That Buhari tactically avoided the meeting is an indication that he might not be well disposed to the political romance between Tinubu and the PDP rebels.
