2015 KKY Movement North America New Year’s Message The KKYM - TopicsExpress

2015 KKY Movement North America New Year’s Message The KKYM North America extends its very warm regards and appreciation to all our members and supporters for their support, partnership and our remarkable achievements in 2014. Globally, the movement was able to hit its 2014 goals in preparation for the SLPP Flag bearer process and eventual SLPP Legislative and Presidential election victory in 2017/18. The milestones achieved include the launch and establishment of the movement website and the formation of new groups in several states in the USA, and Canada. We have also seen the exponential growth in membership, and commitment and excitement to ensure KKY is declared the next Presidential successor of EBK. We salute our partners across the world, who are also actively engaged in social mobilization, in particular the launch of the United Kingdom and Ireland KKYM chapter, and new groups in Australia, Sierra Leone and continental Europe. Due to the Ebola crisis, most activities of the movement were put on hold in Sierra Leone in order to support the effort to eradicate the disease. We continue to join the nation in praying for all the victims and our fallen heroes in the frontline of fighting the disease. We are very proud that our KKYM colleagues all over the country have made their own modest contributions to support families with food items during the quarantine period, provide essential items such as chlorine, buckets and thermometers to some locations, and provide support to stranded students at Njala University. We remain confident that the combined efforts of the international community, the government, and civil society will lead to a speedy end to this catastrophe. To this end, we will continue to make our contributions in the new year. As we usher in 2015, the movement plans to redouble its effort and active participation in all peace initiatives to unify the SLPP. We salute the PPRC, Bishop J.C Humper, Peter Tucker, Campaign for Unity and all other organizations that are committed to restoring sanity and unity to the party. Our movement is determined to build on all possible opportunities to help facilitate unity. We will actively reach out to all aspirants and their supporters in the coming year in order to establish good relations, tolerance and mutual understanding. Further, the KKYM is appealing to all its supporters to immediately desist or stay away from all provocative negative campaigns in social media and other outlets. We would also like to call on all other aspirants to make similar appeals to their most vocal supporters to suspend all acts of negative campaigning so we can focus our energy on how to build SLPP as a formidable political institution that is ready to restore its leadership for our people. On behalf of the KKYM, the month of January 2015, is declared a month of PEACE and TRUCE on social media. (Thou shall not speak ill of any SLPP member or FB aspirant). We pray that you will join us as we embark on this force for good and accept this struggle as a pathway to prosperity for our suffering people in Sierra Leone. I wish you all every success this new year. May God bless our movement, bless SLPP (One Country, One People) and bless Sierra Leone LEH WE DAE GO NORMOR...
