2015 NORTHERN NEW MEXICO STOCKMAN’S ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING The Northern New Mexico Stockman’s Association (NNMSA) will be hosting its annual meeting on Saturday January 10, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Juan Gonzales Rural Agricultural Center in Taos, New Mexico. This meeting is an excellent opportunity to come and get acquainted with other allotment owners face to face and with county, state and federal employees and legislators from across the State of New Mexico. In addition, I encourage you to come and share your concerns, thoughts and ideas with these folks. I am asking that you take a day off your busy work schedule and attend this meeting and become informed. The meetings are educational and we welcome your families. Like every year, we attempt to put together an agenda that relates to current issues and needs. This year, the focus is on the water, New Mexico Jumping Mouse, losing our land; update on the Jarita Mesa vs. US Forest Service Rancher’s Lawsuit, USDA Civil Rights Report, land grants update and NM Farm Credit, economic options, and livestock industry updates from the Agricultural Industries, and NM Cattle Growers. Refreshments and lunch will be served. I sincerely hope you folks and your families had a very Merry Christmas and I want to wish all of you a very Happy and Prosperous New Year, and let us continue to pray for much needed moisture.
