2015: Okwu faults Obiano, Umeh over Jonathan’s endorsement on september 02, 2014 ONITSHA—Ousted national chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Maxi Okwu, has faulted Chief Victor Umeh’s leadership of the party over the recent endorsement of President Goodluck Jonathan for 2015. According to him, it is unfortunate that APGA endorsed President Jonathan for the election even when his party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is yet to do so. Speaking in his Achi country home, during a visit by the South East stakeholders and executive members of the party loyal to him, Okwu accused Umeh and Anambra State governor, Dr Willie Obiano, of anti- party activities. “Democratically, governor Obiano erred by using any platform whatsoever to endorse President Jonathan when he (Obiano) was still a member of APGA and when the PDP which the President belongs was yet to endorse him to run for the 2015 presidential election,” Okwu said. He equally described as undemocratic the declaration by Obiano that Umeh was the only APGA senatorial candidate of the party for Anambra Central senatorial zone in the 2015 general election.
