2015, THE POWER STATE AND THAT PERFECT GOVERNOR By Fodio Ahmad Hey ! Did you just say a perfect governor ? I think I just did. Ok, we know you are a kontagorian and you guys can be so crazy politically but can you give us just a single reason of a perfect governor ?. Sure I will but before I do, Dear You, You and that person over there, deep within, yet outside your seek for greener political pastures, be a bid original towards uplifting Niger state to the desired growth and development. It is call by the virtue of slogan the power state, it is indeed by all ramifications starting with the three hydroelectric power stations, two former head of states, dozens of Army Generals, big political Dogs, renowned Writers like Abubakar Gimba, Yahaya Dangana amongst others and Air Force chiefs, and I say rest in peace to the only Kontagorian Air Force Chief, Late Rtd Air Vice Marshal Garba Yaro Kontagora. Niger state 2015 elections means different things to different Nigerlites with more interest on the wing of the Guber race which deserves more than just PDP or APC leadership interest, it is above some cheap blackmails and hogwash followership belief. It is a period of inculcating the spirit of IDEAL DEMOCRACY, which deals with a candidate not political party stunt. I am not saying all the YES SIR SYCOPHANTS should put a full stop to their paymasters, as a matter of fact, tonight tell him, I mean your paymaster something like “Sir I had a dream last night that you won the governorship elections”. Jummat Mubaraq….. I understand, look I clearly feel your political belief, a more reason you still cannot differentiate towards the importance of reasoning, side by side the complexity of subjectivity and objectivity, a critical political thought which if adopted can light your followership path. Never on no account accuse any politician of USING and DUMP theory, it is not true rather it is because you have lost a sense of your fundamental emotion. Unlike using the term HOW I SEE IT (prognosis) of an advertorial on Daily trust by Bala Yakubu Gawu on that day of May 21, 2013 with the Deputy Chief Servant, Hon Musa Ibeto, a one time Member of the House of representatives and Chief protocol as the possible Governor courtesy of the tongue of Gawu’s HOW I SEE IT. This later was labeled as a Paid HOW I SEE IT by the famous columnist Muhammad Haruna, and I quote “The trouble with Gawu’s advert was that it seemed too much of a sponsored promotion for ibeto”. Hey ! Oga Muhammad Haruna, please don’t give that face of like it is a crime to get paid for a full page promotion after all the media firm publishing it get a handsome reward, why not the writer. *wink* Then he, Muhmmad Haruna a onetime press secretary to General Abdulsalam Abubakar who happen to be a father-in-law to Abu Lolo, who is not paid but just a GOOD SAMARITAN now made the biggest HOW I SEE IT blunder on 8th of October 2013. In his prognosis on the same daily trust, it ended like “Chances are the next Governor of Niger state may be Abubakar Sani Bello” and what where his reasons ? From his same words I quote “Abu Lolo seems APC’s best chance of beating PDP in the state especially if anyone from outside Kontagora picks PDP’s ticket and If Lolo picks his running mate from Bida, the state’s biggest senatorial zone”. Another reason by the writer was the high connections and support from friends, classmates and military colleagues of Lolo’s Father. Congratulations ABU LOLO, at least for being such a very smart aspirant with each of your steps gluing sympathizers publicly, from resigning from a commissioner due to your honesty and accountability which you feel you can’t get from the incumbency, to decamping from PDP and then a columnist of high repute analyzing your chances. Woooooooow. Look, I am not on to make some pipe dream prognosis but rather look at the next Governor from the Ideal Democracy point of view and I think you are also very free to say “SHEGE MAI GEMU, YA JA KAYA KENAN” or like my Abuja Base Kontagorian brother usually say “CONTRACT WELL EXECUTED”. And for you who think 2003 is a yardstick, then wake up, this is 2015 spot the difference yourself. He is the only, I repeat only alternative towards DIVIDENDS OF DEMOCRACY in Niger State. I need to borrow these words from SUNBEAMS and SHADOWS a poetry collection by my friend, a senior literarily anyway Dzukogi Jnr. “TILL DAY’s END COMES, SUN IS KING”, indeed, it is because politically and administratively experience for experience among all the Governorship Aspirants I think we don’t have his match, the only person that can tail him is even Senator Nuhu Aliyu who has lost total relevance after a FLAWLESS politicking by Senator Ibrahim Musa during the 2011 polls. I am also not interested in telling you how many employments he has created and the number he has directly and indirectly assisted. I can’t as well just seat to enumerate his policies and initiatives especially towards industrializations And on a very serious note, you don’t as well expect me to re-write his curriculum vitae but I can comfortably tell you that Mustapha Bello is that Perfect Governor Niger state craves for and if I where Niger North I will throw away my political party differences and embrace ideal democracy there by unanimously supporting the best and credible alternative as the next Governor come 2015, he must not be a political saint because there is nothing like a political saint every man has his dark spot. I already understood that we are so subjective that we lack foresight rather we just concentrate on our closer problems ignoring the outcome of the future which is the Major reason we are still been faced with democratic degradation in Niger state. “The height that great men reached and kept was not attained by sudden flight but, while their companions slept, they were toiling upwards in the night” as said by Jerry Long Felllow. Juma’at Mubaraq Nigerlites.
