2015 briefing! Something is brewing in America be it humanly or spiritually! When chief Charlie Beck can promise us transparency but order autopsy reports hidden from the public! Something is brewing when that same chief can agree to the use of body cameras but order no video is to be leaked to the public! Something is brewing when police regulary hold gun buy back programs in the inner cities as if the guns collected are coming from criminals or over-stocked law abiding citizens who have simply upgraded or restocked their supplies! Something is brewing when cops who speak out against crimes by other cops are fired & defamed as liars! Something is brewing when every mayor since Tom Bradley stands firm in defense of a department thats mired in corruption & controversy! Something is brewing when that very department has become totally militarized! Something is brewing when the US military practices war games over its cities & citizens in urban areas! Something is brewing when we as citizens have no say so in police policies & conduct! Something is brewing when police strategically & systematically continue to disarm us under the assumption that they are making our neighborhoods safe! Something is brewing when black youth & other minorities have become the target of aggressive policing & prosecution! Something is brewing if there is more wrongful death , brutality & misconduct cases pending due to investigation that we know about! If you dont think something is brewing , go have your coffee because you need to wake up!
