2015 lets get this shit started off right with helping your digestion be thumbs up and smiley face. Your ability to digest food, plays a significant role in your health, how you use food for energy, fight off asshole germs and bacteria, and even your mood. This all starts in your brain when you first decide to eat and sit down to shovel whatever you prepared into the hole in your face. If youre not relaxed for the act of gustation, shit is not going to go well. Most people eat on the go, stressed to the max, and dont even chew their food and swallow it like a duck because they dont have time. When you eat in this fashion your body reads that youre stressed/in danger and activates your sympathetic system or your fight or flight or what I like to call your Ohh shit system. When your sympathetic systems is activated, it doesnt care about digesting food it cares about getting you away from whatever it is stressing you out, so it conserves energy by significantly slowing down the digestive process. It doesnt know that your report thats due in an hour for your big presentation isnt a grizzly bear looking to rip your arm off, it knows youre stress and breaking down food is not priority at the moment. This will cause you to not produce enough stomach acid (along with a number of other things) to digest your food which can lead to a multitude of problems. Such as not killing all the bacteria thats in the food you ate (food poisoning), lack of absorption of that food for energy, and even feeling sick because your food is just sitting in your stomach not being digested. You can remedy this by just taking a breath, chilling out, and being in the moment of eating. This will let your body know everything is coca butter and breezy. This will make it much easier for you to digest your food, use that food for fuel, and actually enjoy the act of eating.
