2015 predictions. I had always known that no single tribe or religion can on their own win a general election in Nigeria whether rigged or credible. So while attacking ourselves as supporters of the key gladiators, I was waiting for the most politically astute party to play their card well. APC seems to.have played well. The selection of Osibanjo, a Yoruba man, a Christian of good repute and above all, husband to the grand daughter of a well respected and generally loved patriot, LATE CHIEF OBAFEMI AWOLOWO seems to be the deal breaker handing over majority Yoruba voters to the APC. If the PDP because of their reputation as masters of do or die rigging are not taking this development seriously, then their political strategists must be aliens from the pit of ignorance. Although many Nigerians would not like to accept that the vituperation of some Northern politicians may be a political correctness facade aimed at deceiving GEJ in order to get a piece of the missing billions off him, I strongly believe that its a landslide for Buhari in the North. Northerners for all their strengths and weaknesses are the most organised and United tribe in Nigeria who will always stand together if push come to shove. I see no reason why they will abandon Buhari in 2015. APC will undoubtedly struggle heavily in the south east where PDP has a strong hold. But given the political stature of some of the APC candidates, the PDP is not likely to sweep the polls very easily there. So the two parties need to work really hard to have control or ensure that their votes are not badly depleted by either side. Again given Amaechis radical stand against GEJ, I cannot be sure that GEJ is very safe in South South too. In conclusion, if the election is free and fair and we do not have to settle at the tribunal where some badly corrupt lawyers and judges who may have already been handsomely paid to pronounce a pre determined decision will preside and hand down already written decisions, the parties must not take anything for granted. Someone may get badly hurt and I see that Someone as the PDP. Please look at my post and advance superior arguments for your chosen parties. Endeavour to avoid the threats and expletives. There is no.need for them. We simply need to.inform our minds and prepare for the thinkable and unthinkable. Power of the incumbent may not work.
