205th Hero Corps Press Release - 26JAN14 19 Mines, explosives used in Mines confiscated and disposed 205th Hero Corps personnel continue running operations for the purpose to clear areas of insurgents and facilitate the conditions for safe and secure elections. In the past few days, 205th Corps conducted operations in the areas of Talukan, Moshan, and Zangabad in the Panjwai district of Kandahar. During these operations, 14 mines, 20kg of explosives and 20 mine plates were confiscated and disposed. In other operations, 3rd Brigade, 205th Corps, operating in the Zhari district of Kandahar discovered one rifle, two hand-held radios, 100 mine primers, three mines and eight kilograms of explosives, which they disposed . Also, operations by 2nd Brigade, 205th Corps, in the areas of Snzai and Gbargi in the Shmalzai district of Zabul province, confiscated and disposed of two mines and four kilograms of explosive, and also arrested 2 suspected insurgents .
