20th August 2013 - 100,000+ hens killed due to bird flu in Ferrara, Italy. Italian authorities informed the Member States of the outbreak vysocepatogenní avian influenza subtype H7N7 in the village Ostellato, Province of Ferrara, in Emilia Romagna.
