20th September 2014 - Saturday O Boundless Salvation by General William Booth founder of the Salvation Army This is one of my many favourite Christian hymns/songs and sends shivers up my spine every time I hear it or sing it. It could be most appropriate for a Baptismal service for its content and perhaps some churches use it for that. If you are a practising Christian, I think it may give you goose bumps as well, if you take notice of the words and what they mean. Should you not be a Christian, or have lapsed in some way, Christs door is always open for you to return to him and to know his tremendous love and salvation, just as in the story of the Prodigal Son, who was welcomed back so heartily by his Father, so much so that the Prodigal Sons brother was envious. It really does not matter who you are, or what you may have done, God really does love you, you are his child and he would so much love for you to come to him. He will help you to clean up in whatever ways are needed, he will heal you and open up a completely fresh book of your life. He will completely destroy the old damaged and defaced records, giving you a completely new start. Please bear this in mind for the future. There is no closing date for this great offer of Gods love.
