Portugal’s former Socialist prime minister Jose Socrates has been arrested as part of an inquiry into tax fraud, corruption and money laundering, the public prosecutor’s office announced. Sócrates arrested at Lisbon airport on corruption charges The Attorney Generals Office confirmed the arrest of former prime minister of Portugal, José Sócrates, at Lisbon airport on Friday 21 November.
