21993 Being a Bihari! Well it actually means nothing, it is not a cellphone or car or buying something that we have to select. Like that we don’t have many options to choose our birth place. I am just another human being, who does not differ from one to another on the basis of his religion, region, caste, race or creed. Till I was in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. I did not know what it means to be a Bihari. And the day, I walked outside from Bihar, it did not take me a moment to figure it out, What does it actually means. That was the moment when for the very first time, I felt ashamed of being who I was, A Bihari. I think, Sub-nationalism has always been a curse to India & World. But what happened with me, must have happened to a lot of people who belongs from Bihar. Sub-nationalism is enforced on you each passing moment. You don’t know, why you are being targeted when you have done no wrong. After few instances of being accused, We either start ignoring those insane mind or start fighting them (Verbally or Physically). Most of us start hiding his/her identity, and saying “Mujhe to koi Bihari nai kahta (We do not look like bihari)” & or maybe it makes you proud sometimes. After all that I started reading about Bihar & Its contribution to India. The history of the place is unmatched by any other part of the country (No offence, But its true), Maybe it’s the cause why we are targeted anywhere. Being poor or being a representative such as Lalu/Paswan does not make us the worst human creatures. We also have right to live in any part of the country with the same dignity and integrity as people from other part of the country have. In my words, “We served & serving The India & The whole World in many ways, From a labor to Engineer, Doctor, CA, IAS, IPS, Scientist Etc.” and I am very proud of Being a Bihari. Male bihar
