#22 By the time I turned 15, I had been kicked out of North Eugene High School once and kept a steady GPA sub 1.0. Hormones were in full swing and the only thing I wanted from high school was a social circle and cute girls. My musical tastes began to match my mood much of the time - dark. While the majority of the metal I listened to wasnt all that dark (death/thrash metal hadnt really hit the scene, at least not with who I was hanging out with), it was dark and aggro enough for me to sit around brooding about my lot in life and made me question whether or not demons really existed and if I could make them work for me somehow. I drew pentagrams on everything and looked for symbolism in every album cover I had. My best friend, Don, moved to my side of town, and we spent most of our time living out of each others pockets. If we werent at his house, then we were at mine. We biked everywhere, shared pack after pack of smokes, drank coffee all morning and ate Ramen in the afternoon, and basically hated the rest of the world together. We both had our reasons for being angry, but we just didnt know how to deal with it. We still had a lot of fun though. Don and I spent hours upon hours with stereos turned up to the point just below when the speakers would start to distort. Much of the time, it was Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Ozzy. It was a great alternative to going to school... Mr. Crowley - Ozzy Osbourne youtube/watch?v=5hP-R31Q6cI
