22 years ago today I was blessed to become the mom to a beautiful blue eyed baby girl, Heather Elizabeth Conley. I can honestly say that since baby duck came into this world, my life has never been the same and quickly became a perpetual attempt at trying to slow her down as she ran full speed into this thing called life. Whether it was her baby walker, tricycle, Barbie Jeep, bike, horse, golf cart and....sigh...her vehicles....slow down has become my mantra. My attempts at keeping her between lines both literally and figuratively, has been mostly successful, but I am as proud of how she has handled her life lessons as well as how graciously she has handled her successes. I love you baby girl. More than you will ever know. We have weathered storms together and you have dealt with pain and loss that no one your age should ever see. But through it all you have become the strong courageous young woman that I have the privilege of calling daughter and friend. Happy Birthday beautiful baby duck!
