23/01/2015 POLITICAL AND MEDIA ANALYSTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BOTSWANA AND ELSEWHERE, WHERE ARE YOU? WHERE IS YOUR INPUT, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO TELL US WHAT MOONO IS OR ARE YOU PART OF MOONO? We have already established that the media is part of Moono, and that Moono is yet to be defined and expanded because nobody knows what it holds for them. We have also established that all media houses are part of Moono and continue unabated to spread the Moono propaganda. The status quo prevails. Moono will not liberate Batswana and they remain uneducated and uninformed. An uneducated and uninformed Motswana can easily be swayed by a powerful media to follow ideals or individuals that they do not even understand. Batswana seem to be happy with the status quo. They are helpless because they know no better. They have never had a compassionate leadership. They can be likened to what Abraham Lincoln once said: Abraham Lincoln “By the way, a fine example was presented on board the boat for contemplating the effect of condition upon human happiness. A gentleman had purchased 12 negroes in different parts of Kentucky and was taking them to a farm in the south. They were chained s6 and 6 together. A small iron clevis was around the left wrist of each, and this fastened to the main chain by a short one at a convenient distance from, the others; so that the negroes were strung together precisely like so many fish upon a trot-line. In this condition, they were being separated forever from the sins of their childhood, their friends, their fathers and mothers, and brothers and sisters, and many of them, from their wives and children, and going into perpetual slavery where the lash of the master is proverbially more ruthless and unrelenting than any other where; and yet amid all this distressing circumstances, as you would think them, they were the most cheerful and apparently happy creatures on board. A e jeke has no meaning. Moono has no meaning… and yet when the poorest of the poor chant these slogans, they are at their happiest. They do not know that they deserve better. Kgololesego ya Sechaba! Implies many different positive things to the entire nation. Batswana are not dull, they are learning and they are learning fast. They need the BCP whether they know it or not.
