23 November Update: 1. Sold all the tickets for the BANGON ESTEHANON benefit concert featuring Noel Cabangon. Our very own Mark Ulyssis Gerna, a violinist, will also perform. We may have to hold a follow up benefit concert as we cannot accommodate all those who signified to come and listen to Noel Cabangon music for the victims of Yolanda in Eastern Samar. The venue has limited space as this was the only place that my cousin, Tina Arceo-Dumlao, Noel Cabangons friend, can find to match the artists schedule. Given the urgency of raising funds, we have to make do of the best possible option under the circumstances. We do encourage our friends and relatives to give cash donations even if you will not be able to come. Please send/give them to the Padul-ong Tulong Eastern Samar team members. 2. Received 8,000 cash donation from FAARSI Federation of Alumni Associations of RVM Schools, Inc. (FAARSI) officers on their personal capacity. 3. Advised by Grace Camacho De Jesus, President of FAARSI that we can also drop off relief goods at MINSAC (Mother Ignacia National Social Apostolate Center) Main Office, Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM), 214 N. Domingo St., 1111 Quezon City. Contact Persons: Sis Apol Tambien or Ms. Josan. Please indicate that you wish to send the goods to Eastern Samar victims. You may also tag them with FAARSI/Padul-ong Tulong Eastern Samar note so that we can properly acknowledge them. 4. Finalized logistics for the concert with Gilbert Escoto, Miguel Voloso, Neil Alejandro Pinarok, Raymond Operario Apita, Mavic Cardona, and Tina Arceo-Dumlao. 5. Was able to coordinate the trip of lawyer-friend of my cousin Nadine Baldado-Abenir, to Guiuan and Hernani next week thru the help of Msgr Lope C Robredillo and Boardmember Jonas Abuda. Their group will be donating rice and goods to 750 families in both towns (750 for Guiuan/750 for Hernani). 6. Received donations from friends and batchmates that I have yet to claim from Western Union. US-based friend $300, Italy-based friend, P5,000. Btw, we (Padul-ong Tulong Eastern Samar) team will provide you a complete report after our meeting on Wednesday, 27 November. Our other members, Ruth Alido and Rowena B.
