24-05 -2014 Stop mental health discrimination in #England and #Somaliland: We went out today to Surbiton Fun Day to raise awareness about a mission to end mental health discrimination in the UK . The mental health project called TIME TO CHANGE , funded by the #NHS , is currently being delivered by our Charity. It was fun and we were received with enthusiasm by people who also came for other purposes. Some even went to the extent of taking pictures with us to encourage the participants. It is always good to engage for good causes. We hope that mentally ill people in Somaliland will be dealt with dignity and respect equally like the rest in the Western World; and be given proper treatment both traditionally and medically rather than putting them in cells similar to zoo cages with chains . A scene of cell at Hargeisa mental ward of people put into chains like animals is saddening and raises the question of whether we really care about our disadvantaged and mentally sick people.
